I liked that they added as little as possible between cards types and machanics to help them fit in with the rest of the Magic ecosystem

As such, this is more interesting as a card that you snag a copy of for personal use, or keep on your radar as something to pick up whenever you see it underpriced for long term gains

It's quite the staple in Vintage, though, for black-heavy decks that want to dig deep for their combo pieces

In the mid and late game you'll probably have the mana to use it and still do something else on your turn

In fact, there are only two Iconic cards available in all of Lorcana (at least for the moment)
