A wonderful pair of French late eighteenth century with their original patina dating from Directoire period circa 1790

The rectangular shade has glass on three sides and is held onto the brass frame with four chrome rods which screw into it which hold it in place

A feature brass screw sits in the centre of the disc which unscrews to access the 6 E14 screw in lightbulbs underneath

I am not sure whether it still in working but there is an on/off switch and room for two American sized batteries which allow the model to light up
