This model was designed for fishing the AuSable River "hex" hatch from a boat. Less than 50 of this model were made by the Paul Young Rod Company, and of that number only approximately 25 were made by Paul himself. Some of these models were also called the "Encampment Special" for his clients who fished the Encampment
