The muted colors and blurred images remind me of the many times I've spent on the water just after the sun goes down

The rusted earth was completed using acid oxidized iron paint to make it rust over a black background that shows through at the edges

You can almost hear the aspens singing as the autumn winds blow through the leaves and branches

Bird's Nest in a Corner  - A love of birds and a lifetime of collecting nests was the inspiration for this charming little piece of nature

It was the one of the first two Arizona map paintings. I painted it using thinned down acrylic paints to allow the map to show through. I incorporated a lot of metallic paints in this piece to try and capture some of the the brilliant sunsets I've seen in this beautiful state. Honestly it's one of those paintings I wish I'd kept. I remember selling it to a young woman
