Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated July 1868, to a gentleman, recommending his friend the pianist and composer Jules Meilhan " He is a friend of mine and, as you will see, a quite remarkable artist". Size is 5. 2 x 8. 1 inches, 1 page, overall rust tone, light smudge over ink, in overall excellent condition.
