Judith originally designed this in 1987 and is based on an Original Fair Isle Sweater knitted in home spun yarns and hand dyed with flowers such as the Wild Gorse

This design is called Rackwick as the colours and textures remind Judith of her favourite place to visit in Orkney which is the valley of Rackwick in the Island of Hoy in Orkney - l have attached a recent picture of Rackwick that was taken in summer

Labradorite is often compared to the Aurora Borealis which she was lucky enough to see in Scotland this year and this inspired the colour palette
