Rust & Patina Heart is a one of a kind hand embellished reproduction using our raised  “Molten Metals” process

I choose a distant passage through the trees of this lake scene to lead the viewer deeper into the painting and the map behind it

Silver raised metal is applied to the water line in silver

The changing aspen leaves were a sharp contrast  against that piercing blue  sky that seems most vivid with the coolness of the season

The ground below the mountains was textured first and the sky has the texture of the canvas weave peeking through it

The ground below the mountains was textured first and the sky has the texture of the canvas weave peeking through it. The clouds and the water feature under the mountains were rendered using acid oxidized copper paint to make it patina. I knew when I did the acid over the aluminum leaf it would eat away some of the metal so I painted it the background
