Vintage African Turkana/Samburu Milk Container Mesoamerican the creator and remover ofTraveling Man Treasures Curiosity Vault is selling this wonderful vintage (c. 1950s) hand carved milk container known as Akarum among the Turkana and Samburu tribes that live in the Turkana District of the Rift Valley in Kenya. The jug is missing its lid and has a broken section as shown, but still makes a beautiful addition to any African collection! The Akarum are fashioned similar to gourds, but are actually wood. These containers were treasured,
