Not many of these 8-9's around! skillet griddle iron and this one is aWhen we came across this waffle iron we were unsure by its origins at first. Doing some research we found that these were made by Schreiber & Conchar, MFG in the 1890s. This is a really cool piece to have and use in your kitchen or for the collector that likes unique waffle irons from small foundries. Schreiber and Conchar were active in Dubuque, Iowa, in the late 1890s. They were known for their sad irons and not for their waffle irons and there are
