It moves SLIGHTLY on glass so it is useable on all tops but best for gas or electric coil stoves. The exterior had a plated look to it, while the interior surface was black iron. We restored this and seasoned it, giving it a deep, gorgeous bronze look. Made by hand in the 1930's, we fully strip and restored it back to almost new
